🥩 [Dutum – A Classic Korean BBQ Experience Near Chungjeongno Station]
Looking for a satisfying Korean BBQ dinner spot in central Seoul? On a recent weekend, I visited a local favorite — Dutum (두툼) — just a short walk from Chungjeongno Station. This place specializes in the holy trinity of Korean pork cuts: samgyeopsal (pork belly), moksal (pork shoulder), and hangjeongsal (pork jowl).
🥓 What We Ordered
We arrived around 7 PM and, thankfully, there was little to no waiting.
We ordered:
-
2 servings of samgyeopsal
-
1 serving of hangjeongsal
Later, we added 1 serving of moksal to top it off.
🍖 Prices (per serving):
-
Samgyeopsal: 18,000 KRW
-
Moksal: 18,000 KRW
-
Hangjeongsal: 18,000 KRW
The portions weren't huge, but the flavor was top-notch.
🔥 Grilled For You
What makes this place even more convenient: the staff grills the meat for you!
So you can sit back, relax, and just enjoy. However, if you prefer grilling your own meat, this setup might feel a little too hands-off.
🍜 Don't Skip the Naengmyeon
To wrap up the meal, we ordered naengmyeon (Korean cold noodles) — a perfect, refreshing end to a heavy BBQ session. Honestly, it’s hard to resist naengmyeon after grilled meat in Korea!
💭 Final Thoughts
While the prices are slightly on the higher end for the portion size, the taste and service made it totally worth it. If you're near Chungjeongno and craving quality pork BBQ, Dutum is a solid pick.
