🍚 Spicy Bibimbap & Sizzling Sichuan – Suwon Weekend Food Trip

A taste of Korean flavors at Daldalhan Bueok and Brick Happy Food in Starfield Suwon

Last weekend, we headed out to Suwon, located in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
As expected, it was quite crowded — especially during lunch hours when many restaurants were either fully booked or had run out of ingredients.

Originally, we planned to eat at MooMoo Sikdang, but due to ingredient shortages, we had to change plans.

🥢 Lunch at Daldalhan Bueok (달달한 부엌)

We found this place nearby and decided to give it a try.
Their specialty? Hearty, colorful bibimbap — a classic Korean dish that mixes warm rice, veggies, sauces, and toppings.

🥩 What We Ordered:

Yukhoe Bibimbap (육회 비빔밥) – Raw beef bibimbap
Bulgogi Bibimbap (불고기 비빔밥) – Grilled marinated beef bibimbap

Personally, I preferred the bulgogi version over the yukhoe one — it had a rich, savory flavor that was incredibly satisfying.

🏬 Dinner at Brick Happy Food (벽돌해피푸드) – Starfield Suwon (2F)

Later that day, after strolling around and enjoying our date, we headed to Starfield Suwon for dinner.

We arrived around 8PM, and even at that time, it was quite crowded.
We managed to get a seat and ordered two dishes:

🍖 Sichuan Fried Pork

This was crispy, slightly spicy, and had that classic Sichuan kick.
If you can handle something like Shin Ramyun, this will be no problem.
It was flavorful and a fun change from the usual Korean fare.

🍜 Malatang Noodles

Wow — this one really woke up my taste buds.
It’s been a while since I had malatang that hit me with that signature tingly, numbing sensation, but this one did it!
Definitely a bold and memorable flavor.
